National Whiner's Day TM December 26
The Most Famous Whiner of 2016 is...
Toblerone Swiss Chocolate Makers!
The makers of Toblerone whined their costs have risen, and as a result, they chose to reduce the amount of product maintaining the same cost for less product. They are not the only maker that did this with some makers choosing to instead raise their prices to maintain the same amount or quality of product.
The "MOST FAMOUS WHINER OF 2015" was...
According to Mr. Trump, in his own words, "I do whine because I want to win, and I'm not happy about not winning, and I am a whiner, and I keep whining and whining until I win." (ref. August 11, 2015 interview with CNNs's New Day host Chris Cuomo). Also, in Rich Lowrey's column in the National Review, Mr. Trump was described as "the most fabulous whiner in all of American politics." On the same date 8/11/15, Colin Campbell wrote, "Real-estate developer Donald Trump embraced the idea that he's a 'whiner.'"
This indeed is the definition of a whiner. Chris Thompson (formerly with the Saginaw News) once wrote that today we have far too many whiners and too few huggers. National Whiners Day encourages people to be happy for what they have in life. Seeking our own glory is a false goal and will not lead to good for all of human kind. Fear-mongering and hatred is not the American way despite many incidents in our history of this. We all seek to be better but not on the backs of others.
